Spaghetti and Meat Balls

BROWN:

1/2 cup chopped onion in 3 tablespoons of cooking oil
ADD:
1 #2 can tomatoes
2-6oz. cans tomato paste
2 cups water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 bay leaf

COOK SLOWLY FOR 1 HOUR. I HAVE COOKED IN A CROCK POT

COMBINE:

3/4 pound ground Beef
1/2 pound ground Pork
1 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 sprig parsley, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup milk
2 well beaten eggs

MIX THOROUGHLY; form into small balls, brown in hot oil, drain, add to sauce, cooking over low heat for 15 minutes longer.

Cook spaghetti in boiling salt water until tender and drain.

SEVER SAUCE WITH MEAT BALLS OVER HOT SPAGHETTI.
